STEWARDS

Each and every one of us is a Steward of God's gifts!

Each year, the beginning of Fall heralds the time to re-examine our financial goals for the church, and to determine whether our financial stewardship reflects the blessings God has given us.

This is a period of planning for the Stewardship Committee, as we prepare to enlist your help through your annual monetary pledges. Letters and materials are mailed to all members and friends of our church, to assist you in determining your reasonable and achievable weekly, monthly or annual pledge. A Sunday is set aside to receive your pledge cards, and offer them to God during worship service, for His blessing.

During December, boxes of offering envelopes are made available before and after worship services, as well as in the church office during the week .  These envelopes are provided for your use, when making your offering, and aid with our record keeping.

If you are new to our church, and would like to contribute on a regular basis, you may pick up a box of offering envelopes at any time during the year from the office.

On the other hand, if during the year you run into financial difficulties, and are unable to honor your entire pledge, please contact anyone on the Stewardship committee, so that we may adjust our records and expectations accordingly.

The following excerpts are taken from last year's letter to all church members and friends from the Stewardship Committee.

Wouldn’t it be a thrill to be part of a church that was alive enough to hear the call of God that just sits there waiting to be responded to?  And hearing that call to have the financial resources to respond in a practical and life-giving way?  To be able to support the local food pantries when their supply runs low, or help families when nature strikes as it did in Newmarket and Alstead, or help the youth make a mission trip, or fully fund the work of our denomination as they help fight hunger and disease and respond to disaster in the United States and world wide?

Wouldn’t it be a thrill to be a part of a church whose vision was to meet their budget and go beyond it to create the resources to do the work we as a church are called to do?

We at the Stewardship Committee have been talking about this idea, and after having taken some time to think personally about it and to talk with each other, we have agreed that this is a goal we embrace.

We thank you for your consideration and hope you take this as an opportunity to reflect on what the church and its vision mean to you to help guide you in your decision.
